The frame of the house was made of 2" X 3" lumber. Most joints are half lap joints. I made mine by making multiple cuts on the table saw.
I completed all of half laps on all of the cut to length pieces.
All joints were glued and clamped.
Final cleanup with a chisle on the half laps.

Most home centers will cut sheet goods for you. The one I went to made all the cuts I wanted. If you have a good plan you can even get it cut to size. I had some cut to size others I cut to size myself acounting for modifications. I used the sheet wood for the covering of structure.
