The guineas will have run of the area while the chickens can be let out into the outer perimeter from time to time. The existing wire top of the run was removed.
More guinea fly zone. Two 4x4's were placed in the center area to attach bamboo perches. The guineas will be able to see most of the yard from on high.
The trench is a foot deep to bury some of the 5 foot dog fencing that will be around the bottom of the aviary walls.
The roof goes on with poultry fencing over the top and down the sides.

So the wife says "I think I want to put guineas in with the chickens this time. They make great guards and it will be fun. Oh and they fly." Uhuh..... So flying birds are going to get really bored in that small run I am thinking. "What if we build an aviary over the coop?" Says the guy who has never built an aviary before.......
The names will change but the game will play the same.
