To make matters worse for him, his cage mate and brother apparently was also pulling his feathers when they were at the shelter! Luckily his brother got adopted separately. Now Cat lives with my cockatiel Cookie and isn't being Picked clean!

My newest adoptee (grey) cockatiel that I've named "Cat" due to his cat call whistle. He's plucked over half his feathers out prior to coming home to live with us. He was pretty much "unadoptable" at the Humane Society due to the featherless state he was in. So I took him and placed him with my yellow Cockatiel. He's already learned better grooming habits and its still a question as to whether he will ever get feathers back in the nude zones of his body. But he's in a warm spot in the house, in a large aviary and sings and chatters away with his companion Cookie.

My cockatiel aviary (also temporarily housing one lone zebra finch until we can find some more finches to adopt from local area Humane Societies.
