It was interesting to observe their strong flock mentality. Our chickens have no problem striking out on their own, but the ducks and geese always stick together.
Like all adolescents, they hit an amusing gangly phase.
If we didn't have their pool out, we made sure the fount was full of cool water. It was a brutally hot summer and they drank a lot.
They were getting bigger every day, so it was time for a bigger pool!
By now they were stronger swimmers, but we still watched them constantly since they couldn't get out of the tub on their own.
We made a movable play pen so they couldn't wander off. They never failed to be way more entertaining than TV!
