This hand made chicken mug was inspired by our pets. Here I am at as an artist/demonstrator for a show at Oakland's Crucible back in 2005, thus the name Artpeeps. a Peep is a friend in Jamaican. It is also a baby chick and a spongy marshmallow chick that is sold every year around Easter. So everything related to Peeps Candy became our mascot as well. We collect all items that say Peeps, to include T-shirts and mugs. Our house logo for Artpeeps features a French chicken holding a painter's palate and paint brushes.
Our community art projects have included everything from making sidewalks, to building ponds, to erecting coops. This was our coop 7 years ago. It is now twice that size.
This logo has adorned our gate since 2006.

* This is Big Boy, our club mascot and also the avatar for BYC forums. He is big, loud, proud, and the only chicken who does not lay eggs, though he contributes by lording over his females and making them feel safe.
* Our community features a water garden as well as healthy chickens in a protected free-range open coop where hawks cannot carry them away! The coop is a central feature in our yard back yard, visible just to the left in this photo.
