Upstairs roost. This was not in the original coop, but we added it as soon as the girls got big enough. The roosts that came with the kit were too skinny. I like them to be able to cover up their toes in the winter time to keep them warm. A wider roost just seems like it would be more comfortable.
More ventilation added. There are four vents around the top so there's plenty of airflow.

There is now a second nest box downstairs. It doesn't have a lid like the one upstairs, but the girls made a nest so it's a nest box.
New downstairs roost. This was a coop from the tractor supply and the area that we had enclosed would have originally been the "run" if you just used it as was straight out of the box and assembled. We have always had the coop on a raised cedar platform in a large covered run. There was no way 4 hens would have enough room in that original coop.
