Vanellope
Named after Vanellope von Schweetz from Wreck It Ralph because after hatching she kept moving her head in sudden spurts like she was "glitching" (even more so then chickens usually do).
Vanellope was stuck inside her egg for 24 hours after making the first hole through the egg shell. We got a bit worried, because although we were told not to assist them we also didn't think it was normal for them to take that long. After a lot of hemming and hawwing we broke a bit of egg shell off to assist her and realised that the membrane had actually dried around her, preventing her from getting out. We completely freed her, but were unsure if she would survive the night. 8 weeks on and she is now just as fit and healthy as the others!!
