We got so many eggs, we traded some for avocados and oranges!
new coop construction, summer 2015. 2x4 coop. I used all Craigslist finds and freebies and leftovers. This coop is all done now, and the cost was literally about $5, mostly spent on paint.
May 2015: I got five chicks from the same Kindergarten teacher as last year! This led to the construction of a new coop. In the mean time, the five chicks were lodged in the Mini Inn.
We got so many eggs, we traded some for avocados and oranges!
At some point a rodent got into the runs, to eat the feed. I needed to seal up some space between two runs. Phyllis followed my every move.
