We had a bit of snow a few days ago and most of the run was covered in white. Today I put some clear plastic on east side and a bit on the north. Wow what a difference really cut the wind down. I'll have to find some clear plastic tarps for next year.

Installed auto door from Foy's :) So pleased I finally got to the installation. I had to cut the opening a little larger (1/2") as well chisel out a little groove on the wall (for the key ring holding the string on metal sheet) so the door could slide up and down easily. I think it will be great, it works on a light sensor and batteries. Also goes up and down so very slow.
I put a tarp up today in the one section that faces north. keep the rain and snow in check Liked this photo with the sun set and the hint of blue/purple in sky.
Chickens were a little perturbed at me for putting up the 6 x 8 tarp, at least it's not blue. I tried to find clear ones, but here in Ontario no such luck. Next time I'm in the states will pick some up. In the foreground is my trusted farm buddy 'Duke' a Bouvier des Flandres I keep his hair short, given the fact he is a farm dog, that also lives in the house with us.
