Winterizing for first winter - ugly plastic wrap. The North side has plastic to the top. I left the other sides open for some air and light to pass through. I used vapor barrier.
I have since raised both the waterer and the feeder so that they don't get so dirty. I have a water heater going and so far, I haven't heard that this is a fire hazard. I'm keeping an eye on it and making sure it's sitting on bricks and is staying clean.
The door to the coop is open, but they have no intentions of coming out - ever since it snowed.
I was going to surround the entire coop with straw bales for some insulation, but at $5.50 a bale, it was too expensive. So just a part run got bales - one went into the run for fun.

Tried to get pictures of our two black dogs, but with white snow - it's a no go.
