I have crossed Indio Gigante with 8 different chicken breeds and only ended up with 3 color patterns. One looks like your aloha hens. If you’re looking for size a creole Indio rooster will give you that and maybe help limit flight. I’m in Apache Junction AZ. Holler if you need one.
She has been producing for about a month. I assumed her first egg would be small but they seem to alternate. I get about 2 large then 1 small that has double yoke.
I have a black Australorp. She lays an egg the exact same size as my Silver laced Wyandotte one day, the next will be a small size double yoke. What can cause this? Seems it should be the opposite to me. Curious as to the probable cause.
