Hello everyone! I have a small flock of Birchen Marans. All of my flock is black Birchen apart from one blue Birchen rooster. I have hatched out a few chicks and all of them have been black. I wanted to let everyone know 3 and 7 turned out to be hens. The one I posted in the comments also appears to be a hen but I’m not completely sure.- 101atworld

Basically what black_cat said. They’re rumored to lay until the day they die. Not everyday though. I have one adult silver deathlayer hen and she doesn’t lay very well 😂 Leghorns are definitely better!- 101atworld
