I’m not sure how long this is going to keep adding up but I live in buffalo and I have:
2 bantam roosters
2 black star bantams
1 white crested black polish bantam
1 isa brown
1 what looks like a hamburg
1 Rhode Island Red rooster
6 Rhode Island reds
3 golden comets
My neighbors bought a relatively cheap shed and installed a couple of sturdy shelves to hold supplies and a couple of nesting boxes and roosts if that helps at all. Unfortunately the they moved away and the new neighbors have torn everything out, so I don’t have any pictures to add to this.
I have a white crested black polish bantam that TashaFrancois perfectly described, but as long as your chicken isn’t showing any pain and is otherwise healthy and you can take care of a special needs chicken, I would leave her be. It is entirely up to you.
Have you ever done an obstacle course type thing so she can string tricks together? It may be a bit too complex without a few nudges at first, but it would be really neat.
