    Bulls-eye in eggs but no rooster?

    I was reading a book about chickens today and it said if there is a red spot in the egg, it could be from the chicken straining to push the egg out and to give the chicken some bread soaked in cod liver oil. Hope that helps!

    broody hens won't give up

    Hey, something my mom told me that her mom did was to get some new chicks and at night, while the your hens are sleeping, replace the eggs with the new chicks. They will start laying again and they will have some chicks to raise.
