Just joined......hoping to get some insight into raising game birds. I've already raised a few clutches over the years (various species of quail) and I maintain a dovecote of pigeons, both for dog training.
Enjoy hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening and hunting with black powder...
I had a similar experience with the first batch of quail eggs I tried to hatch several years ago.......I think the culprit was that the humidity was too low for the last few days. I now use a hygrometer as well as a thermometer in the incubator.
