well its been raining a lot here and some of my half grown chickens have gotten sick they have been laying down and can't get up its not affecting the older chickens i cleaned everything with bleach and it helped a little bit and i put the sick ones in wire cadges off the ground and they got...
baby ducks can have a shallow pan of water about an inch or 2 deep when u first get them. i would put ceader shavings as their bedding it works best 4 me.they can go in with the chicks.when they grow out of the pan i would get a pen and a small kiddy pool out side for them untill they were full...
when they get all their feathers is probly a good time.and make sure they are big enough. but first wat i would do is when your getting ready to put them in there i would get 2 or 3 chicks and put them in with the big chickens and see if they are going to be ok in there. the best tim wold probly...
when i got baby ducks i put a shallow pan with water in it.it was only about 2 inchs deep.after all they are ducks.but i didnt do any thing else different.just be sure to clean it every day.
personally i use ceader shavings as bedding. it keeps bugs away and keeps the smell down.i would find out what ever they have been feeding then before u got them and feed them that.i use chick starter for food. and for a pen i use storage tubs if u use thost dont put too many chicks i there 4...
sometimes cicckens have something wrong with theri feet.i had a chick that couldn't walk for like a coupple of weeks she is ok now but she has deformed feet and has to be seprated from the others. but im no expert about it
i know this might sound crazy but if i couldn't think of any thing else to do and they werent doing good i would see what a vet had to say. i hope they r gonna be ok.
