Getting a Lavender Orpington Rooster Chick, Tips?

Why wouldn’t I want to handle or pet my rooster? My lavender Orpington is 6 months old. He just started paying attention to me. Someone suggested picking him up every day. I kept him cuz I thought they were supposed to be friendly.

    Egg Peritonitis?

This is the 3rd day with a sick hen. We noticed her funny waddle as she walked and then her hard abdomen. At first she was panting and had breathing issues. Is this a Silkie Rooster?

    Respiratory Distress

I’m not sure where the blood came from but it seemed to be there when we noticed the wheezing. She’s fine again this evening and it’s 90 degrees out. So I feel better about it! I did let them out the evening before it started and they were very much into their dirt bath. Maybe she just got...
