    Chickens losing feathers

They're probably just molting. Chickens usually molt twice a year (mine do, anyway). They seem fine to me! Hope this helps!

    My chickens are eating shavings?

I have a bag of chick grit. Should I add the grit to the shavings, or replace the shavings with grit altogether? Thanks so much for your help 😊

    Soft-shelled egg

That is normal in beginner-layers. All but one of my chickens have had a few soft-shelled eggs when they started laying. Hope this helps!

I would say cockerel. For reference, this is what my Buff Orpington looked like at 6 weeks old. Hope this helps!
