Yes, it's legal to kill a rodent and predator that's attacking your flock. There's laws against shooting certain types of hawks and birds of prey but nothing in the way of protecting opossums from being dispatched.
Well, something has been getting my chickens. My rooster is gone, as are three hens. I'm down to 2 hens and 3 chicklings. I don't have a gun. I'm thinking a live trap may be my only option. 😥😓
