    I hope you're right! My husband has been very clear that he does not want a rooster because of the noise, so I am really crossing my fingers that we got lucky with these!

    I had my son bring in each one so I could get better pictures. This is Crow. I suspect this one might be a roo.

    We got these Australorps (and one other that I don't have a recent picture of) four weeks ago from Tractor Supply, but they seem older than other 4 week old pictures I've seen of this breed, so I'm not 100% sure on their age. We got a straight run because my daughter loved their personality...

    Hi! New member here.

    If we end up with cockerels, I will reach out to a local chicken exchange FB group I recently found and see if anyone has room for them or can trade hens for them. If that doesn't work, I will see if anyone in my town will take them. There are a LOT of backyard chickens around here. :)

    Hi, I'm a new chicken owner. We got our birds almost 4 weeks ago from Tractor Supply. We got 3 ISA Brown and 3 straight run Australorps that we are hoping turn out to be girls. We love the personality that the chicks have already brought to our household.
