A Days Eggs. Brown are from Black Austalorps, the light beige is from a NH red, and the Little wht one is from our Dutch Bantam, other Red lays tan.
Last week, we lost Saidy one of our EEs, ourr bird w/Blue Eggs and a soft spot in her heart for the neighborhood cat. She loved to plop down next to anyone sitting outside and was always peeking in the house windows to check on the doings of her people. She was exceptional. GapeWorm in advanced stages, to far along to save Sadie, but she saved her flock.

The very next day, our neighbor asked us if we could take their sons chickens. They lost all but two of their flock from the summer heat… so, now we are rehabbing a couple of molting ladies who are in pretty ruff shape, but doing decently since we acquired them about 3 days ago. Turns out thy are OEs, been named, and are flighty but friendly.
