    First Egg Countdown

    We got our second egg in two days today. I was correct in thinking it was my BR as I caught her in the nest box right before she layed it. My mixed flock were hatched about April 1 which makes them about 18 weeks. I thought my leghorn or my red or black sex link would lay first.

    We got our first egg today, it is really small. Here is a not so great picture of it in the nest box. Not sure which one layed it. I think it is my barred rock but not sure. My daughter won the guess on which day we would get our first egg. She picked tomorrow.

    New Member with Planned Coop

    Getting ready to build my coop. I have a design drawn up after reading lots of info on these pages. Here it is. It will be 4ft x 6 ft with the nesting box adding another foot to it. I also plan on a run but will get that finished after the coop. I will be starting the build on Saturday.
