    right...this girl needs works...another breed would need other different work....its just so hard to find white Ams around here...not to mention show qualtiy...easier to find Bresse....maybe I'll try a pen with Ams and a pen with a Bresse bred in...or Minorca.. I'd much rather keep all Am blood...

    Pretty green sheen! I'm working with a white I just got yesterday. They are SOOOOO hard to find around here that I got her while I could. I'm going to keep looking for others of better quality for future generations... I'm trying to breed to white on some others and using a different breed...

    So, NOT a Silkie cross? It's possible that is the same mutation or...the first mutation... The "st" mutation was first discovered, but the chicks never survived past 2 weeks....then it was discovered again 5 years later. Those survived so they named the mutation st-2. I've seen another breed...

    I think that APA/ABC recognition should come down a very simple point....Frizzles are accepted as a variety in other breeds. It is considered a feather type/variety. This Silkied feather type is JUST like that....EXACTLY like that...both are mutations that create a "look" in the feather...
