They're soooooo tiny!!!!

went ahead and called the hatch! 23 hatched out of 35 that made it to lock down! Day 18!

Came back from work to 22 hatched and about 3 more pipped!! Day 17

First one hatched!! About 15 more are pipped already!:jumpy

Just put 47 Coturnix Quail eggs into lock down:wee 19 Jumbo browns and 28 Texas A&M from JMF!!:jumpy

Thanks so much for the info! I will definitely keep in touch! I plan on doing 50 quail eggs from set to hatch. Usually if I dry hatch the humidity is like 15% what % does your usually stay at? This will be my first time doing quail!!

Any info you could give me on incubating quail eggs in that incubator? I have the same one and will be incubating in April

If you just took the small piece off it wouldn’t kill it.

I personally would leave it. It most likely is getting enough oxygen and I wouldn’t want to risk ruining the rest of the hatch by opening up the incubator and shrink rapping them.

Wait! It’s jist resting and can take up to 48hrs before you see any progress. Sometimes it will make a second pip after several hrs but not always.

If it’s possible I would add some warm water to up the humidity to at lest 60%. It can take up to 48 hr before it makes any progress.

I don’t know why or how but it’s been like that for the past 4-5 hatches:he:barnie
