UPDATE: Instead of using pinless peepers we kept the 3 cannibal hens (or not really cannibals they just pecked and ate other hens feathers a lot) separated for along time (we split the run with a fence) away from the rest of the flock then brought them (the 3 hens) to a new farm with other...
They free range we feed them very good food and give them extra treats and veggies, I know now its cannibalism (Because there was nothing else wrong with them). At first they didn't peck each other while I was around now they do it more often and more aggressive so I had to separate the...
UPDATE: There still losing feathers but they have gotten better I found that there was a cannibal among them. I have separated her but she keeps escaping from time to time. I'm going to use pinless peepers soon. Thank you all for the help I tried every one of your recommendations :D.
Ok, so we're gonna put some antibiotic ointment or spray on them. Then I'm going to get them chicken saddles and new stuff for the coop. Then I'm going to replace their feed or add more to it. And I'm also going to place a camera in the coop so we can find the culprit and separate her.
Thank...
Thank you Is there anything I should do before the spray and stuff arrive from amazon. Should I try separating them I'm not sure which ones are doing it tho. Since every time I go in the coop ( 2-3or more times a day) It gets worse.
Heres some pics I also think it might be boredom since we let them out so much they might have gotten bored of the inside of the coop. They have never been aggressive before and their were no bald spots until about 4 days ago. Im most suspect of my astro orps since they are the only ones who...
They have a huge coop the size of my room and then have a big outside part I ush let them out for 2 hours or more a day. Their coop isnt one of those tiny ones its one of those old big coop houses. I could fit 15 chickens or more in the space we have.
I've seen them eating others' feathers before. Since my mom buys the food I'm not sure what kind it is. They have a huge coop and I let them into the back yard a lot
