Okay so I have gotten several different answers so I'm coming here. I think one of my birds my be frizzling. She is just under 2 weeks, but her wings are rolling, abs have just started curling. I have attached photos. The lighter is her sister from the same hatch... I am focused on the one...
So i have 3 different birds with these square saddle feathers. 2 are supposedly sexed. I was wondering just off the pictures and no other information if feather shape is a reliable indicator of sex? Thanks!x? Thanks chicken gurus!
So i got these two pullets from Bomgaars (hoovers). They were sold as starlight green eggers, but i was under the impression that they a starlight was a prairie bluebell crossed with a legbar... these two are looking more like bielefelders IMO. Just curious om anyone's thoughts.

Alright. So I bought these from the sapphire gem bin at Bomgaars. I was under the impression that's what they were. Til today, when I went out and found a cream / white egg. There the only ones who could be breed mismatched.... everyone else lays some shade of brown.... our flock is composed as...
Fortunately we live in Wyoming, it's drier than a popcorn fart 😀 😜 so we don't much have to worry about mold. I never really had to with my horses. We usually just pop the twine and let it fall open so it stays dry where we store it. The shake leftover can definitely be put to good use-...
Does anyone have experience giving their birds hay cubes or alfalfa cubes like you'd throw out for a horse?
You wouldn't want them wet.... dry of course so they could peck them.

The tiny dinosaurs are not impressed with all of the smoke and fire around us. They skipped breakfast to roost this morning. I know avian can be especially susceptible to respiratory illness. How well do they handle heavy smoke?
