    It's been six months and today I received my first egg.

    Congrats! It's a great feeling isn't it? My chickens also started laying about a month ago. It was so cool. We are getting approximately 10 a day from 16 hens. I'm trying now to figure out which ones are laying, lol Good Luck!

    I'm a newby as well. My chickens are about 8 weeks old and they are also huddling in a pile in a nesting box only one is roosting on the bar.
