I rescued them from a place that was gonna sell them as food, they look the same age as the other hens I have and I have seen some of them laying. One of the new group I bought sleeps on the trees btw
The hens who sleep up the trees now are the ones I had when I had the old rooster, the new ones I got are the ones that won't sleep in the trees.
And thank you!
I am unsure how old he is, but you can check

I attached his pic there before, he is one of the roos with speckles, the one with a white neck to be exact. The pic is 4 months old, maybe...
(Sorry for any linguistic errors, not my first language)
I have a flock of 1 rooster and 6 hens. They live in a very big yard with a fence and many trees and whatnot. 2 or 3 of my hens along with the rooster climb up one of the trees and sleep on it a bit before sunset, around 7PM give or take...
I have accidentally ended up with 2 roosters, so now I have 3 roosters and 2 hens. So far I've been considering returning them to the breeder and getting hens instead of them, but now that I read your comment I think I might have different plans. Do you think my space is enough for 3 different...

I will unfortunately have to return them to the breeder and get hens instead so I won't have issues, I will miss them though, they've been warming up to me the past few days.
That's embarrassing how I thought they were hens.. lol. I am such a city guy...
Thank you for the advice! I am going to wait it out until my sub flock merges with my main flock.
my roo hasn't eaten eggs in 3 days (hurray!) so I no longer really want to replace him. It seems that darkening the nest has helped. He's a really calm and cuddly roo besides his egg eating habit...
Oh their combs are even brighter than my laying hens' which is why I think it's odd.. regardless I decided won't be replacing my rooster and I will give myself more time to try and cure his egg eating habit. I will attach pics of my new girls tomorrow because it's too dark for me to take pics of...
I totally understand that, though it has been like 3 weeks? the other hens started laying in say 4 days.
The breeder I bought them from claimed they were laying age. They are also the same size of my laying hens.
I have been feeding my flock high protein and calcium feed. Besides their feed, I have been feeding them the occasional tuna, nuts, scrambled eggs, chicken safe veggies and fruit, and cooked beans. I don't think there is a problem with their diet.
Some folk told me that if I were to cover the...
