Week old chick walking on hocks

We found vitamin b complex at Walmart and crushed it up and sprinkled it in their food. We had rooster booster already for our older chickens so we added that to their water along with riboflavin capsules we opened and sprinkled in. It might have been overkill but from what I read you really...

Week old chick walking on hocks

Hello! I have a blue Orpington chick that was mail delivered a week ago. Everything was fine until she was like 5 days old when we noticed she was reluctant to walk on her feet and would mostly walk on her hocks with her wings flapping. I reviewed some discussions on here and it seems to sound...

    B2/Riboflavin Deficiency Treatment?

Hi there, just wondering if you know about how long it will take to see improvement after beginning vitamin b supplementation? We have a week old chick that we believe is b2 deficient and began her on vitamin yesterday and have seen minimal improvement. Does it usually take a few days?

    Scabs around vent

    Scabs around vent

For our 6 chickens our run is 8x16 so I don’t think it’s too small. Feed is 16%. I’ve noticed our rhode island red is definitely the most aggressive, but I’ve also notice they all are pecking each other. On weekends they are free ranging 5 hrs a day and week days 1-2 hours a day usually. We are...

    Scabs around vent

I noticed a few of the hens pecking our white chicken so I’ve separated her but kept her in the coop so they don’t have to be re introduced and she’s been looking about the same. I don’t have a picture, but I noticed a red scab above one chickens vent who I’ve never seen get pecked and another...

Noticed the others were pecking it and I figured she had some poopy butt they were pecking until I really had a good look. Yesterday I found another chicken with...
