Glad I seen your post, as I want to eat affected rooster as well. Its heart breaking to kill him , so I don't want to waste. At least he will serve the poultry purpose, kinda logic.
Well, a whole month later of nursering our rooster in the house with spoon feeding/drinking him and washing his eyes we thinks it is mycoplasma. Which is bacterial disease and says he is now carrier forever.
