    Hello all, one of my hens combs has turned pink/paler the last couple weeks instead of the usual red, and may have shrunk a bit too. Is this anything to worry about? She is molting a bit and we live in Minnesota so the weather has been getting colder, so hoping that may be why. I don't see any...

    Thoughts on the breed of our supposed Buff Orpington? Or possible rooster?

    They are hatchery chicks that we got from our local hardware store. Getting a little older now and looking at her feathers and getting some other feedback, I'm pretty certain she is a hen. Just no idea on breed. Guessing maybe a mix of some sort at this point. Updated picture below for cuteness.

    We got her from an Ace hardware that sources from a hatchery. Our other two we got are clearly the buff orpington hens we wanted but this one has me confused.

    Hello! I have what was supposed to be a buff Orpinton hen, but given the yellow legs and black tail feathers I think she is a different breed or a mix. Also wondering if she may be a rooster. About 8 weeks old in the pictures. Any ideas on breed and/or gender?
