    To much space?

    Is this to much space for a mix of 2 week old chicks and a few days old chicks? It's about 6ftx7ft. Brooder plate will go under the wood box

    I'm pulling the soffit board off to make ventilation better. Can I get away without hardware cloth on it or should I put it on? The opening is about 6 feet from the ground. It's 3½ inches wide by 12ft long

    New to chickens

    I am new to raising chickens. I don't currently have any yet but the coop and chicks/eggs are ordered! I'm in middle tn. I plan on raising chickens for meat/eggs and have decided to get bielefelders. I've been wanting to do this for a while and I'm glad to finally be able to take this step!
