Just did another inspection and found that the other hens who are raspy/coughing have lost feathers on their underbellies and have a red blotch on the skin where there is no feathers. Does that make any difference? Also, to answer the above question, no, I did not vaccinate for anything. I...
Well, either way. I put her down and did not eat her. Other chickens now sound like they have a cold. They look perfectly healthy. So, I think she just succumbed first to whatever the cold infection is.
What to do?
Is nobody going to give replying a shot?
Update: The red lump has "deflated" but her breathing is still raspy and she is "sneezing" and the chest is still red.

1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)

It appears I've stumped the board. I know the genders (and a fair amount about chickens, as I've had them most of my life), but these are the first "mixed batch" chickens I've ever ordered-- and I'm sorely wishing I knew what they are.

Yes, it is a bantie. Came with the others in my posts on this section of the forum in a mixed lot of banties. They were supposed to be "mixed fancy breeds with feathered feet"-- and, as you can see, that is not what I got! (It's still a cute chick, just not what I ordered)
i have no clue what this one is. could he be the same as #1 in my other post? it is nearly all grey, with a bit of white. the white was yellow when it was just a few days old.
