Well not too bad of a day around here. Our coop is done except for the flooring and some paint. Got a tiny bit of the run enclosed so the babies can play when its super hot outside. We put our brooders in the coop last night and everyone was just perfect this morning. Had a few storms but they...

OK so my chicks and ducks are now four weeks old. We finally finished the coop. Still working on the run however. Since its getting hot is it too soon to put them in the coop? I'm worried they will over heat at this age. Or if the run was done would it be OK to put them in as long as they can...

    Pallet Coop - The Beginning

Omg got 100 ft of 1/2" hardware wire for half price and an unending supply of pallets as I need them yesterday. Working on my coop as we speak. So excited! Three posts of six needed done. Gonna start stripping the little side part down and building it back for the coop. More pics to come.

OK I'm working on my run today. Woohoo...finally! But I have an unknown plant currently growing there. Can anyone identify it and tell me if its poisonous to my chickens and ducks. I will leave it for a treat since no matter how we mow it it still comes back but if its bad I'll dig up the root...

    Pekin Duck Club!

I got mine at TSC (tractor supply company) for $4.95 each. They only sell in pairs. Mine are in great shape. I know some people have had problems with TSC but mine is amazing. Great staff, great customer service and for me great birds.

I have had the best birthday so far. Came to town to get stuff for the chicken coop and duck enclosure. Got free pallets and was told I can have as many as I want no worries. Sweeeet! Then got 100 ft of 1/2" hardware cloth for $150. Should have cost $2.49 a foot but they couldn't find the SKU...

    Pekin Duck Club!

That was my only reason. When you say watering platform...can you explain? So far their bedding is always wet and poopy. Have changed it twice a day for the last week. Also with it getting warm...finally...whats the earliest I can put then in their new house?

    Pekin Duck Club!

I know ducks need enough water to rinse out nostrils so I planned to have a pool or at least small dish of water. Can ducks use nipple waterers for drinking water purposes? I'm a touch confused on the whole water thing. Help!!!
