    Bumblefoot For Almost 8 Months

Soaked and redressed her foot again this morning, and there's definitely further improvement. It's been surprisingly dry for a good few weeks here in the UK, but as rain is expected I used a hydrocolloid dressing on her foot today to ensure it stays clean. I'll leave the dressing on until...

    Bumblefoot For Almost 8 Months

Okay, I took more scab off yesterday, and there doesn't seem to be anymore infection in there I soaked her feet beforehand, applied vetericyn, and for the first time I started applying sugardine after which I wrapped her foot. The image is from this morning after I'd soaked and washed her foot...

    Bumblefoot For Almost 8 Months

I changed the dressing for the second time this morning. I soaked her foot for a while then used a iodine scrub, applied prid and neosporin and then dressed with gauze and vet wrap. Looking at the image, is this looking good five days after surgery?

    Bumblefoot For Almost 8 Months

Well, I took the scab off this morning after applying prid a few times over the last week. I soaked her feet, took the scab off, which was really easy, and rinsed it with vetericyn, put some prid in and neosporin, and covered with a piece of hydrocolloid dressing, gauze and vet wrap I'll bathe...

    OMG What is This?

Interesting, thank you. I have a four and half year old girl, which is a decent age for an hybrid, I believe..She laid her first lash egg around 18 months ago. I had no idea what it was at the time, but when she did it again a couple of months later I did some research. She started to look...

    OMG What is This?

I may have spoke to soon. She was hunched up just with her tail down. But, as you say, she may have other stuff to 3xpek, which may be making her feel uncomfortable. Thanks for your reply, I'll stick with the calcium as suggested

    OMG What is This?

An older hen of mine has laid lash eggs before, but they were nothing like this.Just an update My girl went back into the nest box and laid an egg with a solid shell. I assume I stop the calcium tablets now?

    OMG What is This?

On Wednesday my 2 year old hybrid laid a shelless egg. I started giving her calcium plus Vitamin D tablets daily from then on. She lay in the nest box on Friday, but nothing happened. She has been eating and drinking fine, although last night before retiring to the coop she was puffed up and...

    Wasteproof Feeder Requirements

I'm thinking of doing that to be honest. I have a large plastic dustbin I could use which I could easily fill with a foot of water. I baited the snap trap again last night with peanut butter, which was all gone this morning, so I'll set the trap tonight. I've heard the Squirrelinator is good for...
