Bumblefoot - Is it healing okay?

Hey all, we did bumblefoot surgical kernel removal on our largest 10mo old hen on October 5. We have been doing Microcyn spray and bandage replacement with a hydrocolloid bandage and vetwrap for both feet every 3-4 days. I'm attaching photos before surgery, after first bandage change, and now...

    Both Pullets, right?

Both are about 7 weeks old. And I was wrong on the GLW just like you guys caught. She's a partridge wyandotte. Do these photos help?

    Both Pullets, right?

We got two more chicks after we had to get rid of two cockerels. We are pretty confident both are pullets, but it doesn't hurt to check here with an updated photo. Gold laced wyandotte on the left and we believe speckled sussex on the right. The speckled has a comb, but it is pale.

Aggressive 3mo Pullet on 2 new 6wk Pullets

Wow! Thank you for such a helpful post! I do believe we have enough space overall, and will make sure as we introduce them they always have a way to get away from each other.

Aggressive 3mo Pullet on 2 new 6wk Pullets

Thank you for the reply. The total coop floor space is 4'x8'. I have built a barrier inside the coop where there is a 4'x6' portion and a 2'x4' portion. The 3mo pullets have the larger section with the auto door that gets them access to a 4'x8' run and underneath of a 16' trampoline. The run and...

Aggressive 3mo Pullet on 2 new 6wk Pullets

We have six 3mo old pullets and we had two 3mo old cockerels. One of the cockerels. They were supposed to all be pullets but two of them grew faster and turned out to be cockerels. The dominant cockerel started crowing, and within a couple of days (even though we were looking at rehoming...

Black Sex Link (Help me confirm we have a rooster)

Thanks for the reply! Our local feed store was pretty confident in the 6 week old pullets vs cockerels. They had around 30 6 week old chicks and had the cockerels clearly identified and listed. Hopefully it doesn't turn out that the speckled sussex is a cockerel! The other one is a partridge...

Black Sex Link (Help me confirm we have a rooster)

Well unfortunately just after this post a local humane society officer showed up at our house after a neighbor issued a noise complaint. We chose to surrender the two cockerels to them as they do well in our area at rehoming them. We were able to get these two 6 week old pullets. We have the...

Black Sex Link (Help me confirm we have a rooster)

Thanks for all of the replies everyone and the welcome! We are not allowed to have roosters in our city, so we need to figure out what to do. We were misled on the breeds for sure. The grey one in the photo is what we believe an Ameraucana. We were led to believe the light brown hens were brown...

Black Sex Link (Help me confirm we have a rooster)

Here are a few more photos. We did purchase the two in question from Tractor Supply, so maybe even though the chicks looked like black sex links, they really were not. I wouldn't be surprised. From what I have read, hens can have combs and wattles as well, they just are not as large when the...

Black Sex Link (Help me confirm we have a rooster)

Hi! We started our backyard chicken adventure back in late March, and even though our hens are not quite old enough to lay yet, we are sad that we think our favorite chicken is a rooster. Two of our chickens are black sex links, and the most friendly one (largest as well) has started crowing at...
