Hello! I set up my mama heating pad to get ready for my chicks. My heating pad is one someone else suggested in this group & I have it set on medium. I have a question. Near the bottom of the tunnel is only 74 degrees F (pictured). When I temp the upper portion, it's more like 88-89 (pictured)...
Getting chicks for the first time. I see people using puppy pads & then topping with pine shavings. I assume this set up lasts longer without cleaning and that's why people do it? With this set up, how often do you clean it vs if you just use Pine shavings?
