We have 6 hens; 2 are 3 years old and 3 are last years. We love them and they are fun. There is a very real possibility we will be moving from northern Colorado to southern Texas this summer (job-wise a very good thing!) Am I bonkers for wanting to take these hens with us? Is it better for them...

Hello! We've had four hens for just over two years. But unfortunately lost three early this spring when we had a newborn (human!) and neglected to lock the door.

We gave our last hen (out of an original four), who was broody, three chicks to raise. They were hers immediately and she was a great mom. At about 9 weeks of age one of them disappeared in the middle of the day! Could not find her had to assume there was a very bold predator...
