    I thiught I had my coop built prettt well but a dog came by and shredded my chicken wire. I am thinking of wrapping it in the wire that has the 2x4 holes. Any suggestions? The dog comes at night or when we are not home

    Angiebubs not sure what you mean by "crowns". They are kept inside under light and I watch temp. Not sure about medicated feed, but they are now 5 weeks old so I thought we were getting out of danger zone

    I had 7 Black Austrolorps, then someone gave me 3 chicks they had gotten for easter, and then the wife brought home 4 bantam chicks. Now I only have 4 Austrolarps, and 3 bantams. No sign of sickness, all seem healthy but when I check them I find a dead one. What's up with that? Temp is fine...

    It was down to almost freezing when i left in the morn and they were fine, but by the end of day it was almost 80. There was some ventilation but obviously mot enough. Since i fixed the problem will the chicks bounce back?

    We had a real weather and temp change today before I could get home. When I did check on my 3 week old chicks the were soaking wet and the humidity in the box was incredible. I opened the top more to let it cool out, replaced the bulb with s lower watt, and gave fresh water and food. I did have...
