By Feb. 14th, there has been 12 chicks hatched at my mother's home. This is the first clutch in this year, and a new generation to this ancient blood line in Southwest China.
Their Chinese name simply means "Green-egging Chicken". :p The original old breed is in black or partridge plumage. But the hybrid lines are of all kinds of colors.
Blue egging chickens have become popular across China roughly since a decade ago. There are many hybrid lines across China now. But I heard that the original breeds occurred in mountainous regions in Central and South China.
