    Indian runner duck - HELP

Hi, I've had Indian runners incubation for 28days. I have two eggs in the incubator. Yesterday I could hear tapping inside one and both were moving and now today totally still! Is this normal? Many thanks, Aimi

My Indian Runner is sitting on her nest!!!

How long do you split the pen for Patty43 before you introduce them to the rest? I'm assuming you leave them with mummy? Do you just leave them with mummy from day 1 or do they need to go in a brooder first? What's the reason for separating them from the other ducks? (I only have 3 others) Xx

My Indian Runner is sitting on her nest!!!

I'm sure they will be fine. They are hardy. My friends runner duck was killed by a fox whilst sat on her nest so she put the eggs in an airing cupboard and left them.....about a month later she heard cheeping!! No rotation or humidity, just left! Xx

That's a good idea! What if I put most if them in an incubator and move the rest into her house and leave her too it then give her back the ducklings once they are hatched? X

My Indian Runner is sat on her nest??!!

Hi. She moved off her nest when I went to find her and has waddled around the garden most of the day. She has 13 eggs in there so has been collecting them for a while! I would like them to hatch but wouldn't she need to sit on the over night too? X

My Indian Runner duck is sitting on her nest???

Hi, not really no. She's in a bush within bushes. There's 13 eggs so she must have been collecting them for a while. If I removed them and put in an incubator would she mother them once they are hatched? Xx
