A frizzle, a silky, and a EE, all are barn yard mix age unknown less than a year. Hens or roos? Please help

My rooster mounted Nugget this morning 😁 she is the silky so now I just wait and see about the frizzle I suppose. I'm sure it is a pullet because my roo is so territorial. He tried to kill the last one I had to give it to my mom.

Topic of the Week - Chicken Behaviour and Flock Dynamics Part 2 - Bullying Behaviour

I had a bully. Mrs.Pepper would not stop attaching Sweet Pea. She seemed to live for it and when she would start the others would join in. I took Mrs.Pepper back to my mom 2 days ago. For the first time since Sweet Pea got here there is peace in the flock. I tried keeping them separate were they...

Topic of the Week - Chicken behaviour and flock dynamics - Part 1 - The pecking order

I was given a mature silky hen about a week ago. Most of my flock get along with her most of the time. My rooster really seems to like her. However, I have one pullet who should start laying soon that attacks her almost constantly. She is very aggressive and gets the other pullets to join in. I...

Got eggs for the first time 😁

I don't know who laid them I have a very mixed flock it has to be one of the Silkies, the Satin, and or the New Hampshire red we lovingly call Big Mama. I don't think my other pullets are quite old enough for it to be one of theirs.

New member to our flock 😁

No I do not have a place to safely do that. She seems healthy. Eating, drinking, and otherwise behaving normally. Her wattles and comb are a healthy color.

New member to our flock 😁

I have no clue how old she is but it was love at first sight at the sale today. I'm clueless about chicken breeds right now. This is all still new to me. I'm not even a full month into this adventure. Thanks to everyone here I have a good idea what my other feather babies are. So I was hoping...

Should I expect an egg soon?

I'm not sure there was not a lot of squawking so I think she let him they have area they can play and avoid him when he tries that's what they normally do this is the first time he actually succeeded with any of them

Should I expect an egg soon?

I do not know exactly how old these little ladies are. I know they hatched together and are about 4 to 5 months old. Yesterday was the first time my rooster mounted Peppa. This is my first time owning chickens and I'm wondering if that means she will lay her first egg soon?

Are my nesting boxes too small?

I finished my nesting boxes and the double doors so I can access all of them from the outside. I did not have a secure enough latch so I improvised and mad a door bar/ rake holder. I took the pics wail I was still working on the nesting boxes so it looks a little different when I open them but...
