    Speckled Sussex!

    We love our SS named Amelia (because she would fly out of the brooder every chance she got). She just started laying about 2 months ago. She's very calm, very currious, and always eats the snow off my boots even if I have treats. And beautiful.

    Yes it's a Ruger Mark I .177 pellet pistol. 600 fps(claimed) with light wieght alloy pellets.     Save way of getting rid of mice in coop

    Put mouse traps baited with peanutbutter under milk crates in the coop. Mice can and WILL get in but your girls can't. Very effective!!! Good hunting. And if you think you have 6 you probably have about 18. I had the same senario and I was getting 3 to 4 mice a day for a week.

    It's in the weasel family. Beautiful critter and I hated to dispatch it but it already drew blood in the coop and that CAN'T happen.
