    I have to pick the 2 pumpkins tomorrow or Friday because they won't last until October. They are a beautiful bright orange and not extremely big but not mini so I will be making some pumpkin bread.

    I had a big beefsteak tomato on the vine that wouldn't ripen and when I finally got into the garden enough to get it, it had fallen off the vine and rotted. I was not happy.

    My fawn runner hen started laying 3 days ago. I made egg salad sandwiches for dinner and OMG, so good. I don't know if this story is about age but still it's amazing. My youngest pullet to lay was my white leghorn at 13 1/2 weeks.
