My friends and family have all been talking about this too. It is a very good idea to be prepared but not paranoid. If you live by a natural water source like a lake or stream, it would be good to have a special water filter for a long term water supply.
OH, I did find that "poop chart" with some excellent pictures. I have to say the "normal" range is huge so the chicks aren't showing anything out of the norm.
Thanks for the info. I'll be on the lookout for a change in color. My brothers and I raised hens and cocks about 25 years ago and I can't remember a thing other than how to butcher one!
Poop question: Had them all together for about a week. Poop has gone from the normal grayish/white to a yellowish brown. Is this diarrhea? If so, what should I do to fix it?
