Picked enough collards for a couple chicken diners. -Processed 5 C.Rocks to go with the collards and added all the innards to the compost for the fall garden. Mowed the existing yard (what's left between pins) and it's only 2pm.
Ended up back in the garden after the sun subdued. Picked enough kale off the 30 plants to feed both pins and enough for the wife's smoothies for 6 months.
I am familiar with mochas group. I have some butternut growing and planting Seminole pumpkin today. The Seminoles are suppose to be very resistant and was a large part of the Indians diet here in FL.
@Pensmaster do you have any issues with the white meldew on your pumpkin plants? I think you CA climate is similar to our FL conditions. I having had any problems with aphids but the pickle worms, oh my!!!
@CapricornFarm I've been catching rats in the barn and tempted to throw their feed stealing little butts in the pin for the girls but worry they might have some sort of disease?
Our bourbon red t-birds like to jump up on the porch table and have coffee with us in the morning. First time around with turkeys, it's a different experience than hens.
