I’m 99% sure this is a cockerel. He’s about 5 weeks old now. At first I thought barred rock, but definitely doesn’t look like any barred rock I’ve seen before. Any ideas?
Hey! Has anyone used ADM chick grower crumbles? I’m looking at it at our feed store. I looked it up and couldn’t find a single thing on it. I definitely don’t want to get something that’s not good for our chicks. (It’s not the pen pals one) just ADM.

Ok, I’ve looked everything up and I cannot seem to find a good answer to this question. So let’s say I have 5 week old Black sex link cockerels and 5 week old barred rock cockerels. How do you tell the difference?? Thank you!
So this is my 5 week old barred rock cockerel, he has a little spot of reddish brown feathers around his eye. Is this normal, something that goes away with age?? You can see it in the photo below
Ok! Thank you! Totally makes sense. The spot on his head is almost like an hourglass shape, but it is only one spot (not separated). He has some dark coloring on his legs but the tips of his toes are yellow. We have a few that are a lighter, almost grayish color, they have the separated, white...
