    I wouldn't say you are stealing. When we used to go to a certain store, there would be massive rosemary hedges, so we would break of a few sprigs to plant :)

    Chicken Names- whats your chickens name?

    I just got 10 more hens. In the mixture are 2 Ameraucanas. I named one Lily and the other Margarette . The others are ISA Browns and all look pretty similar. I am sure their personalties and indivual features will become more apparent the longer I own them, and then they will also get names.

    Hi, yes acturally the next day I got my first egg! I only have 1 hen laying, but she gives me an egg just about every second day. :) Also, pretty much everyone I know gets their chicks from McMurray Hatchery. I haven't tried them though, I got my chicks from a local breeder

    Awesome :) We don't have any machinery either, but I have a strong boyfriend haha! We dragged a bunch of logs to the path through our back pasture so we can easily collect them in the spring. Can't wait to build them

    I should mention the one in the nesting box was a partially solid shell, but obviously hadn't finished hardening up. I checked her vent and it seems fine, although she didn't like it very much!

    Hi, I was just wondering if it is possible my hen laid 3 eggs today? I found 3 soft shelled eggs in my coop today and only 1 hen is laying. I know hens are only supposed to lay 1 every 25 hours, but I was wondering if perhaps she laid all 3 because they were all soft shelled (and frozen solid)...

    I don't really use coupons. Canada isn't into coupons as much as the states is, plus it's mostly for things I don't use anyway. Is anyone ding anything special for christmas? I started making my christmas gifts last year. I can a lot of things, so I make hampers up as gifts :)
