I just ordered a dozen 1 day old chicks from MPC I I must say it was a great experience I ordered of the 18th they were shipped on the 22 I got them on the 24 and all chicks not only were alive but we're also very healthy and very playful. This new stock will make a welcome addition to my flock.
Thank to BYC I get all my questions answered that poo chart is the bomb. It set my mind at ease thanks for reposting it. I would think it could be reposted about every 3 mo. Just for us newbie chickenheads
I'm glad I found this thread I am getting ready to buy a few more day old chicks to add to my flock. The place I'm getting them from offers a vaccine for them for 1 dollar a bird. I think it is a good deal but not sure if it is needed
I have been using a homemade tube feeder that hangs from the center of my run. It works very well but I think I'm going to try one of these I like trying new things and building stuff
Being new to the world of chickens I wanted to ask about adding new chicks to my flock. I have 15 hens and 1 rooster at this time I am looking into buying 24 more 22 hens and 2 roosters. All day old chicks. I'm ok with the first 4 to 6 weeks as I still have my setup from my flock I have now...
Thanks Clucker I have a roll of coil stock and a break to bend it with. I could make it and do a fold&tuck on the edges to keep them from cutting themselves was thinking about making it to scrap clean with the droppings falling into a bucket as I clean it. Just not sure if I'm over thinking it
