@coach723 I put it in her beak and tried to push and she made a horrible shriek-I’m not sure she swallowed it :(. Is it possible to grind it up and put it in water or food?

Thank you for all these thoughts, they are wonderful tips! I think my chickens sound like they are attuned to predators according to your questions. But I still might invest in a mobile coop/run, that way they get some range time in new spots.
